Some filming equipment is so specialised that it is not worth buying it for a single project, and in most cases it cannot be hired from anywhere else in Finland either. Matterport Pro3 and Pro2 – 3D cameras for modelling spaces

Matterport is the world’s most widely used system for 3D modelling of spaces. The camera captures images of the space from around each shooting point, which are then used to create a walk-through virtual tour and a dimensionally accurate floor plan. It is used by estate agents, construction and renovation companies, property managers, insurance companies, as well as museums and event venues.

• Matterport Pro3 Acceleration Kit: A LiDAR-based scanner that is fast and accurate, even in large spaces and outdoors. The pack includes two batteries (providing a total scanning time of approximately 2 hours), a tripod, door clamps, a carry bag and a hard protective case.
• Matterport Pro2: a more cost-effective option for interior modelling, such as virtual tours of homes and commercial premises.

The models are processed via Matterport’s cloud service, so you’ll need your own Matterport account. Please contact us before hiring, and we’ll help you choose the right camera for your property and estimate how long the shoot will take.

DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced – thermal imaging drone

DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced combines a 640 × 512-pixel radiometric thermal camera and a 48-megapixel camera in a single compact drone. The thermal camera measures temperature differences with an accuracy of less than 0.05 °C, enabling it to quickly detect heat loss, moisture damage and overheating components, even in hard-to-reach places.

• Applications: thermal imaging of roofs and façades, inspection of solar panels and power lines, search and rescue operations, and agriculture.
• In the pack: drone, three self-heating batteries for winter use, a DJI Smart Controller, a spot light, a beacon light, a speaker and a carry case. The flight time is up to 31 minutes.
• Please note: To fly a drone, you need a valid drone operator registration and liability insurance.

Hasselblad X2D II 100C – a medium-format camera

Hasselblad X2D II 100C is a medium-format camera whose 100-megapixel sensor captures significantly more detail and tonal range than full-frame cameras. It is popular for fashion, advertising, product and architectural photography, as well as amongst landscape photographers. Hasselblad’s renowned colour reproduction renders skin tones and textures naturally straight out of the camera.

A medium-sized system represents a significant investment, so hiring one is a sensible way to utilise its image quality for a single campaign or to try out the system before deciding whether to buy it.

DJI Ronin 4D 8K – a film camera and gimbal in one

DJI Ronin 4D combines the full-frame Zenmuse X9-8K cinema camera, a quad-axis stabiliser, LiDAR focusing and wireless image transmission into a single integrated system. The fourth axis also dampens vertical sway caused by walking, so you can shoot with a moving camera without the need for separate Steadicam equipment. The built-in ND filter and ProRes RAW recording make it a fully-fledged production camera.

The rental package is ready for filming: it includes a Sony E-mount adapter, a 7-inch high-brightness remote monitor, a wireless transmitter with a range of up to 6 kilometres, a 1 TB SSD with a RAW licence, two TB50 batteries, handles, a LiDAR rangefinder, as well as cables and tools.

PL-mount cinema lenses

Professional film productions use PL-mount cine lenses, which feature a damped focus ring, stepless aperture control and a consistent external diameter. This allows follow-focus rigs and matte boxes to be swapped from one lens to another without the need for adjustment. Our range includes PL lenses for professional-grade film cameras. Prices and longer-term rentals

For specialised equipment, a longer hire period works out significantly cheaper: For a 2–3-day hire, you’ll receive a discount of 15 % off the daily rate; for a 3–5-day hire, 30 %; and for a hire of more than 5 days, 50 %.
